A full second slower than the leading Ferrari at Barcelona on Tuesday, Max Verstappen says Red Bull have yet to turn their attention to pace.
The Dutchman replaced his team-mate Daniel Ricciardo for the second day of pre-season testing, climbing into the cockpit of the new RB13.
It was a much improved day for Red Bull Racing with Verstappen adding 89 laps to the board.
And while his best lap time of the day, a 1:22.000, was a full second shy of Kimi Raikkonen's pace-setting time, the 19-year-old says Red Bull have yet to focus on speed.
"For us it's not about showing how quick we can be at the moment," he explained.
"We had a very positive day with not too many issues and we've done quite a lot of laps so we can be happy.
"It's the first test week and the second day, so it's much more important to get some mileage in and to check if all the parts are okay.
"We'll focus on lap time later on."
