Pirelli will take to the track for two extra days of testing having been granted additional time to run their wet weather tyres before the 2017 season gets underway.
Pirelli have come in for a great deal of criticism of late over their wet weather tyres.
Drivers and fans believed last year's British GP was unduly delayed behind the Safety Car at the start while the Brazilian Grand Prix not only began behind the Safety Car but had to be red flagged.
With standing starts on the cards for this season, Pirelli's wet tyres are set to face further scrutiny.
As such the F1 Commission has granted F1's tyre supplier one additional test during the pre-season.
The time and location of the two-day test have yet to be revealed, although reports claim that one of the mule cars used by Mercedes, Ferrari and Red Bull to test Pirelli's 2017 tyres will be in use.
