According to Force India driver Sergio Perez, he had his best-ever-season in Formula 1, but feels he didn’t get the credit he deserved.
Racing alongside Nico Hulkenberg in 2016, the Mexican played an important part in claiming Force India’s fourth place on the Constructors’ Championship, picking up two podiums in the process.
Perez made no secret about his desire to race for a top team again, saying his time at McLaren in 2013 was hampered because of his inexperience.

"It's complicated, sometimes frustrating. You give it all, you have excellent results and a lot of the time you don't get the credit you deserve," the 26-year-old told Motorsport.com.
"To get the results I achieved this year has been incredible and even then there are people who question my potential. I hope the opportunity [to drive for a top team] comes soon.
"I feel very ready [for a top team]. When I arrived in McLaren [in 2013] I didn't have the experience I have today. Without a doubt I'm at the best moment to be in a top team."
Scoring points in ten consecutive races, Perez reiterated that the performances he put out in 2016 proves that he is still a top driver.
"I think it was my best season without a doubt, simply based on the results that I achieved and the consistency level that I kept all year long," he said.
"It's not easy at all to score points in 10 consecutive races.
"In the positions that we usually start the races from is very easy to have incidents and we didn't have the level to be in the points, so achieving that shows that it was my best year."
