Marquez fastest in chaotic FP3

Marc Marquez was at the top of the time sheets after the final free practice at Aragon, which featured several crashes.

Valentino Rossi was the first rider off his machine, being flicked off his Movistar Yamaha after the back lost traction in turn nine on his outlap.

Alex Lowes then had to visit the medical centre for a foot injury after being flung from his bike.

Possibly the most frightening incident of the day came when Danilo Petrucci was collected by Pol Esparago's sliding Tech 3 Yamaha, which sent the Italian flying into the air. Fortunately, both riders walked away unscathed.

The carnage continued when Nicky Hayden and Marquez lost control of their machines, bringing down Esparago. While Hayden and Esparago were able to return to the track, Marquez walked off holding his right shoulder.

Cal Crutchlow would end up second fastest behind Marquez, followed by Maverick Vinales and Jorge Lorenzo.
