MotoGP World Championship leader Marc Marquez believes that at Silverstone the unpredictability of the weather is just something you have to be prepared to face.
The Spanish rider will be looking to extend his 53 point advantage over Valentino Rossi and believes he will be ready to face the unpredictable weather on Sunday.
"Silverstone is a place where the weather is generally quite unpredictable, meaning that cold and rain are variables you have to be prepared to face. We've encountered mixed conditions situations more than once this year, and we saw how important it is to remain focused and make the right choices," said Marquez.
"We'll see what happens during the weekend and we'll try to manage the situation with the same mindset that has gotten us this far. I like the track a lot; it has a slower first section but then there's a series of 'esses' where it's possible to make the difference if you find a good set-up for the bike.
The Championship leader failed to finish at Silverstone last year while his rival Rossi won the race in the wet but Marquez remained confident.
"I've always enjoyed racing there and we'll push at the maximum to get the best result possible," continued Marquez.
Marquez last won at Silverstone in MotoGP 125cc in 2010 but has finished on the podium in three of his last four visits to the spiritual home of British racing.
