After revealing their intentions to approach Jenson Button about a possible return to Williams, deputy team principal Claire Williams feels that Force India driver Sergio Perez would also be a viable option for the Wantage team.
Williams, the daughter of team founder Frank, said that they would consider a move for the Mexican if he is available for the 2017 Formula 1 season.
However, Force India team owner Vijay Mallya announced earlier in the season that both Nico Hulkenberg and Perez will be driving for the Silverstone-based outfit next year.
The 40-year-old also claimed that she had once met the former McLaren driver in the past, adding that she was impressed by him.
"Sergio has done a great job this year, he is an intelligent driver, and of course he is going to be someone we are looking at,” the Williams told Press Association Sport.
"I have only met him briefly on the odd occasion.
"He is very charming. He is very eloquent, so commercially he would be strong for any team. Of course he is going to be someone you'd consider if he is available."
