Team Aguri will leave Formula E after this weekend's final round of racing in London after its entry into the all-electric competition has been sold.
In a statement released by Team Aguri confirmed they had "agreed the sale of its licence to new investors".
The Anglo-Japanese team was created in 2013 by ex-Formula 1 driver Aguri Suzuki and Mark Preston and was one of the Formula E founding members.
Team principal, Preston, is yet to confirm if he will be staying on with the new team but Suzuki would not be part of the new set-up.
"I am proud to say that Team Aguri can be considered true pioneers in the development of electric vehicles, pioneering new technologies and showcasing them to the world," said Preston.
