After suffering two tyre punctures in FP1, Williams driver Felipe Massa lauded the team for understanding the situation and making the necessary changes in time for FP2.
However, the Brazilian could not explain what the exact problem was but said that the technical team investigated, identified and fixed the situation in a respectable time.
“You need to ask the technical guys but we made a modification and we understood the problem,” he revealed to Sky Sports.
“If we didn’t know the problem it would have an effect. but the team understand so I trust them.
“We can have a completely different day tomorrow. We need to be ready for everything. We can have a lot of different sessions.”
Renault driver Kevin Magnussen suffered a similar problem and didn’t even get a chance to practice during the second session.
