Formula 1: It’s a dog’s life

Lewis Hamilton is on the move, with the F1 World Champion jetting off to New Zealand prior to heading to Australia for the season-opening race on Sunday.

However, as observed by Stuff.co.nz, Hamilton was without his beloved bulldogs Roscoe and Coco when he arrived in Auckland. While the Kiwis are likely to be a little more welcoming towards the Briton’s canine companions, Hamilton may be weary of taking them Down Under after the wife of actor Johnny Depp was nearly slapped with smuggling charges after it was alleged she brought the pair’s Yorkshire terriers into the country illegally.

Rather than get caught up in the legalities of the matter, we’re going to take the chance to enjoy a bit of love between Hamilton and his two best friends before the stress of the new season takes over.

As minor celebrities themselves, the two bulldogs have their own Instagram account (as one does…), and it provides plenty of light-hearted moments…

Dad, that thing is a real pain in my butt!! I already hate walks, now I have to run?? ???? #lazycoco
