Marc VDS rider Jack Miller is feeling upbeat ahead of the final MotoGP preseason test at the Losail International Circuit in Qatar.
Miller had a decent showing at the recent test at Phillip Island, where he finished in 14th place on the timesheets on the third and final day, but was within a second of Repsol Honda rider Marc Marquez, who set the fastest time of 1:30.023s.
However, the 21-year-old, who has only recently recovered from a fractured tibia and fibula he suffered in January, acknowledged that the test in Qatar will be more of a challenge as there are a total of 10 right corners which will put more pressure on his injury.
Despite this, Miller is upbeat ahead of the test.
“I’m really excited for Qatar,” MIller told reporters. “It will be my first opportunity to test the full package for the upcoming season and I’m looking forward to getting to work on that with my crew.
“With so many right turns compared to Phillip Island, the Losail track is going to be a little bit harder on my injury, but I’ve been working hard with my physiotherapist here in Australia the past few weeks, so I’m feeling positive.”
