VFT Racing rider Fabio Menghi, who crashed during WSBK pre-season testing at Phillip Island this week breaking his pelvis, says he is sad about what happened but is not demoralized and can’t wait to be back on his bike.
The Italian rider has remained active since his crash and never lost his sense of humour; playing down the situation to those close to him.
In an interview with the World Superbike website, Menghi said he can’t wait to be back in action again.
“I’m very sad for what happened, but we know that for a rider this is part of the game.
“Of course, I’m not demoralized, I was, in fact, improving lap times and I’ll be very excited on the day of my return,” said Menghi.
“I’d like to thank all the people who are supporting us and the loads of fans that made me feel their proximity with their messages.
“I’ll keep you constantly informed about my conditions. Bye everyone!”
