Loris Baz was lucky to walk away without serious injury after a high-speed crash saw testing at Sepang brought to a halt on Tuesday.
The Frenchman was flung over his handlebars at 290.4km/h as he approached the top of the track's long front straight.

The cause of the crash is still under investigation, and Michelin withdrew the soft tyre compound that Baz was using at the time as a precaution. It has since been reported that tyre failure was behind the crash.
Luckily Baz still had a sense of humour after the frightening crash.
What do you say when you walk away of a "290kmh crash" with a bruised elbow and nothing else? BIG THANKS YOU TO Alpinestars

The third and final day of the test takes place on Wednesday.
