With off-season can be a stressful time for team bosses and managers, with their stars engaging in potentially dangerous activities. Marc Marquez's latest stunt surely had the Repsol Honda team a little nervous…
From skiing to surfing to playing football, there are plenty of ways for sporting greats to get injured in the off-season. Doing Motocross tricks is certainly right up there.
Marque recently teamed up with Red Bull X-Fighters rider Dany Torres, and posted a video on his YouTube channel in which he appeared to do a rather hair-raising backflip…
We're not sure the folks at Honda would have been too thrilled to see that.
However, it turns out that the Spaniard was having a laugh at everyone else's expense. The video was uploaded on December 28 which is Día de los Santos Inocentes – Spain’s equivalent of April Fools.
Marque took to Twitter the following day to confirm that the video was a joke. He wrote: “Joke! The backflip yesterday wasn’t real. I’d need plenty of jumps with you @danytorres71 🙂 Thanks @redbullESP”

And with that the good folk at Repsol Honda can breathe easily again.
