World number one Lydia Ko will be back in action this week at the HSBC Women’s Champions event after taking a week off to rest.
In an effort to stay fresh in what is a long and demanding season, Ko won’t be playing more than three consecutive tournaments this year, and as a result, she skipped last week’s Honda LPGA Thailand, which was won by Lexi Thompson.
Rest and relaxation weren’t the only things on Ko’s mind during her time off at her base in Orlando, with the teenager shown a different side of Florida as part of a ‘Day Off’ segment with one of her sponsors, Callaway Golf, and Vice Sports.
Ko will be looking to pick up where she left off when she takes to the Sentosa Golf Club in Singapore on Thursday, having recorded two top-three finishes in her two LPGA Tour appearances this year to go with victory at the New Zealand Open.
A top field will be on show in Singapore, with the entire top 10 and all but two members of the top 25 set to battle it out for the US$1.5 million prize.
