Comedy legend Bill Murray returns to the PGA Tour this week for his annual appearance at the Pebble Beach Pro-Am, a guaranteed good time for all.
The ‘Caddyshack’ star has become an instituation at the event, and fans will be relieved to learn that his recent hand surgery will not prevent him from taking part.
There had been some doubt about Murray’s inclusion, leading tournament organisers to leave a spot open for him in the celebrity field.
“There’s always a spot open for Bill,” said tournament director Steve John. “He’s been an integral part of the tournament for years, and we will always welcome him.”
Murray will once again join regular professional partner D.A Points in the tournament’s 67th edition, beginning Thursday. The duo won the pro-am competition back in 2011.
Other celebrities in attendance include Clint Eastwood, Mark Wahlberg and Justin Timberlake, but no one entertains the crowds quite like golf’s clown prince:
