We take a look at some of the more interesting fact and figures of the Sochi Autodrom street circuit, where the Russian GP is held this weekend.

Race venue: Olympic Park, Sochi

Weather forecast: Mostly sunny skies are expected throughout the weekend, although there may be a hint of rain in the air during Friday and Saturday’s sessions. Whilst there will only be a few clouds visible for the duration of the weekend’s spectacle, the mercury will peak at a cool 18 degrees Celsius on Sunday.

Fun fact: The circuit is integrated into the Olympic Park infrastructure, with facilities situated close to the Olympic Park, which was used for the 2014 Winter Olympics.

Tyre allocation:

DRS Zones: There will be two DRS zones. The first zone’s detection point is at the entry to Turn 1, with the zone itself on the apex of the corner. The second zone’s detection point is at the entry point of Turn 10, while the activation point is 200m after the exit of the corner.
