Bert van Marwijk has named his final 23-man Australia squad for the World Cup with Tim Cahill included.
The 38-year-old will be making his fourth appearance at the finals, with Van Marwijk revealing he found it tough to whittle down his squad to the final group.
Huddersfield’s Aaron Mooy and Brighton’s Mat Ryan are the Premier League players in the side, while Cahill’s Millwall teammate James Meredith is also included.
Following the release of his team, the manager said: “Every step of the selection process has been difficult because the players have all given everything to make the final selection.
“I believe this group of players can do Australia proud at the world’s biggest football tournament if we continue to work collectively and intensively over the next two weeks and into the competition.”
