Neymar: Real Madrid rumours are ‘nonsense’

Paris Saint-Germain star Neymar insists the rumours claiming that he is on his way to Real Madrid are rubbish and not worth talking about.

The 26-year-old, who spent four years at Barcelona before joining PSG for a world record transfer fee, has continuously been linked with an off-season transfer to Barca’s arch-rivals Real Madrid.

However, the Brazilian says the speculation is completely off the mark. His contract with PSG still has four years left to run, and he has made it clear he is focusing on the World Cup with Brazil and not unfounded rumours about his future.

“The focus is now on the Brazilian team,” he told the press, according to FourFourTwo.

“They are saying nonsense. It’s not worth answering.”

Neymar’s first season in Paris was cut short due to injury, but he still managed to score a staggering 28 goals in only 30 games across all competitions.
