After a dismal season, it seems that Real Madrid are ready to give everything in the transfer market to land all their major targets. And on top of that list of targets is the name of Eden Hazard.
The Chelsea winger is believed to be very close to a move to Real Madrid with Zinedine Zidane and Florentino Perez trying to close the deal as quickly as possible. Therefore, they are reportedly willing to accept any demands from Chelsea and Hazard.
According to DiarioGol, Hazard is accepted to ask for the number 10 jersey at Madrid, which current Ballon d’Or holder Luka Modric dons. The report adds that the Madrid midfielder has been made aware of the possibility of giving up his shirt number which he hasn’t taken lightly.
Modric is even ready to lower his wages in order to get a move to Inter in the summer transfer window if he’s asked to give up the number 10 jersey.
FOX Sports Probability Rating: 1/5 – This one’s a highly speculative report from DiarioGol and it’s highly unlikely that Modric will be asked to give up his shirt number upon Hazard’s arrival. Secondly, even if the Croatian decides to leave the club, most probably, it wouldn’t be because of the aforementioned reason.
