Real Madrid dealt major transfer blow as PSG superstar shuts down summer move

Kylian Mbappe and Neymar celebrate for PSG

Real Madrid are keen on a major rebuilding job after failing to secure major silverware this season. Zinedine Zidane is back at the helm, and the glory days need to come back to the Spanish capital.

To do this, an overhaul of the squad was expected in the summer, with a number of top names linked with making the switch to the Bernabeu soon.

One such name is Kylian Mbappe from Paris Saint-Germain (PSG).

But the Frenchman has shunned a move to Madrid in the summer following an incredible run of goal scoring form whilst at his current employers.

“I am here, I am in the project,” Mbappe told Canal Plus.

“It’s good for Real Madrid if there is Zizou, but I will watch merely as an admirer.”

Mbappe scored a hat-trick to take PSG to a 3-1 win over Monaco in Ligue 1 and in doing so, won them yet another dometsic league trophy in France’s top tier.

“We really wanted to take the title… so we are happy and it’s good preparation for next week,” Mbappe continued.

Real Madrid better hope they can sort their transfer business out in time for next season’s action.
