Reports: Manchester City out to stop Manchester United from signing £100 million worth star at all costs

Manchester United’s pursuit Jadon Sancho has been well documented, but it would seem that cross-city rivals Manchester City are also interested in the player now.

Jadon Sancho, who just recently turned 19, has been a star performer for Borussia Dortmund this season, notching up 11 goals and 18 assists in 38 appearances for the club.

Manchester United boss Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has earmarked the Englishman as the ideal solution to the dearth of quality options on the right wing and will likely make a move for him in the summer.

However, Sancho is a Manchester City youth product and United’s interest in him has sent alarm bells ringing across town, Sport Bild reports.

Can Dortmund hang onto wonderkid Jadon Sancho in the summer?

The report states that City will also now enter the fray for the attacker in an attempt to lure him back to the Etihad and prevent him from joining United in the process.

A move for Sancho especially makes sense after Leroy Sane has reportedly expressed his desire to leave the club and find first team football elsewhere.

However, Metro reports that Dortmund will not be persuaded into selling the player this summer and will slap a price tag of around £100 million on him at the end of next season, should he still want to leave.
