Paulo Dybala has seen his status fall to that of a supporting act since the arrival of Cristiano Ronaldo at Juventus. And reports suggest that the Argentinian might be out of the door in the summer, with another Serie A star coming in to replace him.
According to reports by Tuttosport (via Marca), Juventus are keen on swapping Paulo Dybala for Inter Milan’s Mauro Icardi. The Argentine duo have had curious campaigns, with Dybala falling behind on his development while Icardi causing yet another conflict at Inter.
Mauro Icardi has gained a reputation for always finding himself in controversial situations. The Inter Milan striker caused quite the scene at the San Siro due to an unresolved contractual situation. Ther former Barcelona star was banned from the team for a considerable period, retaining his starting position only recently.
However, that doesn’t seem to bother the Bianconeri, who are keen to bring Icardi to Turin. They could do that by offering Inter Paulo Dybala in return.
FOX Sports Asia Probability Rating: 3/5; Icardi wants to leave and Dybala has had his thunder stolen since the arrival of Cristiano Ronaldo. On paper, it would make sense for the two Argentinians to swap places with each other. Icardi would get his wish by moving to a bigger club while Dybala will get his own frontline to lead. Should be an interesting saga this. One to keep an eye out for.
