Paris Saint-Germain (PSG) have made no secret of the fact that they want to sign some more players in the summer transfer window, and Manchester City too have a tendency of buying heavily during transfer time.
So it comes as no surprise that the duo are looking to invest in talent ahead of next season, and they seem to have their sights set on the same man.
The Sun are reporting that the two Arab-owned clubs will lock horns to sign Julian Weigl from Borussia Dortmund.
Man City will most likely lose the services of Ilkay Gundogan in the summer, and need a replacement for the ageing Fernadinho in midfield, and Weigl could be the perfect fit in that position.
Dortmund however, want £22m for their player, and it remains to be seen who out of PSG and City decide to pay that much money.
With Weigl keen on a move after falling out of favour with his manager Lucien Favre, the stage is set for a high-profile arrival at either of these massive clubs.
