English giants Manchester City have barely made a wrong step this season – as evident from the fact that they are still in the challenge for the title in three major football competitions.
They are just two points behind leaders Liverpool – who have played an extra game – in the Premier League. In addition, they will face Tottenham Hotspur in the second leg of the Champions League quarter-finals tomorrow, and have also ensured a place in the FA Cup finals.
All of this is apart from the fact that they also won the Carabao cup earlier this year – making them the only tean in Europe with a potential to win the “quadruple” this season.
Meanwhile however, reports have surfaced that one of City’s most important stars – Leroy Sane – is apparently unsettled, and that he will look to leave the club this summer unless he can be a regular starter in the team.
It is TeamTalk that reports that Sane is growing frustrated, as he has started just seven times in the last 18 of City’s games and he is “quickly becoming” a reserve under Pep Guardiola.
The Sky Blues‘ Raheem Sterling and Bernardo Silva have been excellent of late, and that is perhaps the only reason why Sane cannot nail down his starting spot just yet.
The news agency further states that Bundesliga leaders Bayern Munich and Cristiano Ronaldo’s Juventus have expressed interest in the star, while Atletico Madrid is also understood to be keen on him.
FOX Sports Asia probability ratings: 1/5; We cannot see any possibility of Manchester City and Pep Guardiola selling one if their main stars. Talks of Sane’s unsettlement can only last as long as him not making a part of the final starting XI – a phase which is likely to end soon.
