Reports: Manchester United to offer their superstar captaincy to stop Real Madrid move

Manchester United are getting rather desperate in their attempts to keep Paul Pogba at the club. The Red Devils haven’t been able to tie the Frenchman down yet, and whispers are growing ever louder that he could be moving to Real Madrid.

The Mirror are now reporting that United are so desperate to keep Pogba at Old Trafford, that they have decided to offer him the captain’s armband as a gesture that they need him badly.

Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has made it clear that he wants his team to play around Pogba and the skills of the midfielder, and that he will not be sold to any club in the summer.

But on the flip side, Real Madrid have opened their doors to a potential Pogba move, and have offered enough evidence to suggest that they would be lucky to have him.

With a dream Zinedine Zidane move on the cards, Manchester United can only clutch at straws to keep their midfield general with them in the long term.
