With the summer transfer window only a couple of months away, all the European giant have fast-tracked their recruitment process. And Manchester United are no different!
With Ole Gunnar Solskjaer now confirmed as the permanent manager of the club, the board have started looking for options which will strengthen the team next season. In the process, they have made Tottenham Hotspur’s Christian Eriksen one of their transfer targets.
The Denmark international is wanted by Real Madrid as well and now The Mirror claim that Solskjaer has demanded the signing of Eriksen in the summer window. The report adds that United are ready to triple the playmaker’s wages, who enters the last year of his contract with Spurs in the summer.
Eriksen currently earns £80k per week, however, United are ready to offer him £240,000. Moreover, the deal will supposedly cost them £95 million if they are to outbid Madrid for Eriksen’s signing.
FOX Sports Probability Rating: 2/5 – Though Manchester United have the firepower to go after the Tottenham star in the summer window, the fact that Madrid are actively pursuing the Dane makes it a tad more difficult for them t get their target. Therefore, it shouldn’t be a surprise if Eriksen to United rumours die down soon.
