Reports: Barcelona set to offer five-year contract to top target

With the summer transfer window fast approaching, all the European giants are on the lookout for a worthy addition to their side. And Barcelona are no different!

There have been multiple reports linking the Spanish giants with various central defenders around the globe. However, one name which has been prominent is that of Ajax captain Matthijs de Ligt.

According to reports in Spanish publication Sport, the Catalan giants are set to land their target with reports of a contract which will keep the Dutch international at Camp Nou until at least 2024.

De Ligt is expected to follow his teammate Freki de Jong to the club. The sum involved in the deal is believed to be around 60 million.
