Real Madrid star calls out fake news about him seeking a transfer

After a disastrous 2018-19, Spanish giants Real Madrid are in plans to execute a complete squad overhaul, trying to rope in new players and offloading many of the current squad members.

The reappointment of Zinedine Zidane at the helm further adds hope to the side as they look keen not to repeat their mistakes from the ongoing season ever again.

Apart from names like Eden Hazard, Neymar Jr., Kylian Mbappe, Paul Pogba, Sadio Mane and Christian Eriksen being linked with a move to the Bernabeu, it has also been reported that several “unsettled” Madrid stars like Gareth Bale, Toni Kroos, Isco and so on might find their way out of the club.

For instance, this report by AS says that midfielder Toni Kroos is so unsettled in Madrid that he has personally requested a transfer from the club, to Real Madrid’s representatives.

However, a little over an hour ago, Kroos himself came forward on Twitter and claimed that the allegations made on him are false:

The report had claimed that Kroos would be leaving Los Blancos in the summer, thereby making way for the arrival of Either Paul Pogba from Manchester United or Christian Eriksen from Tottenham Hotspur.

While it is true that the 2014 World Champion has had a torrid time in the ongoing season so far, the above statement from the player hinself should be enough to understand that he is still interested in playing his trade with the Merengues.
