Real Madrid star Raphael Varane has won everything there is to win in the sport of football at just 25 years of age. And after spending eight years at Madrid, the Frenchman reportedly wants to move on.
With clubs like Manchester United and Juventus circling in, Los Blancos are doing everything they can to keep him at the club. However, club director Emilio Butragueno has now revealed that Varane wants to stay at Real Madrid.
“Varane is very, very important. He has been at the club for a long time, he has given a lot and he will keep giving a lot to Real Madrid. We’ll see, but he is a Real Madrid player and he wants to remain that way,” Butragueno said as reported by Goal.
The World Cup winner reportedly has a €500 million release clause which any club would have to trigger to sign the France international. But with ample amount of time left before the start of the next season, there are a lot more twists and turns waiting to happen in Varane’s transfer saga.
