Reports: Cristiano Ronaldo’s former teammate agrees terms with Juventus; will join in the summer

Marcelo will leave Real Madrid at the end of this season to join former teammate Cristiano Ronaldo at Juventus after having agreed terms with the Italian club.

The embattled Real Madrid left back has been displaced from the starting eleven by academy product Sergio Reguilon, singled out for his poor performances by the fans and fallen out with current manager Santiago Solari.

As such, AS reports that the Brazilian has had discussions with Real Madrid general director Jose Angel Sanchez to express his desire the leave the club at the end of the season and join Cristiano Ronaldo at Juventus.

With that view, the report also claims that Marcelo, 31, has already negotiated his contract at the club, and will sign a four year contract worth 12 million euros annually.

The Brazilian has a deal at Real Madrid that runs until 2022, but it looks increasingly likely that the club will be open to selling him in the summer after his relationship with the club’s fans has considerably soured. Moreover, his friendship with Cristiano Ronaldo is expected to smooth the deal over on the Juventus side of things.

FOX Sports Asia probability rating: 4/5; This one looks to be odds on to go through, with Marcelo, Juventus and Cristiano Ronaldo all inclined to make it happen.
