AC Milan forward Suso says he couldn’t be happier after signing a new deal with the club to keep him in Italy until 2022.
Now in his fourth season with Milan, the Spaniard’s form in Serie A has steadily improved. After no goals and just six appearances over the first couple of campaigns, he was shipped out on loan to Genoa in 2015/16.
2016/17 then proved a turning point in his Rossoneri career, as he finished the season with seven goals from 34 Serie A appearances, and already has two goals from six appearances this season.
"This will always remain one of the most important days of my life," Suso wrote on Instagram after signing his new deal.
"I’ve extended my bond with Milan until 2022, and to do it with my family, my partner, and my agent by my side filled me with emotion.
"A particular, special thank you to the Milan directors. I’ll do everything for this shirt, as I’ve always done. Forza Milan, always."
Still just 23, Suso joined Liverpool as a teenager, making 14 Premier League appearances in his first season but never quite cutting the mustard at Anfield, but now seems to have found a home at San Siro.
