Parma were already in last place but are now 11 points from safety and stranded at the bottom of the Italian top flight.
The club were previously penalised three points this season for missed wages, and without the penalties they would have had a legitimate chance at avoiding relegation. Now though, it seems certain they will ply their trade in Serie B next season.
Last month, Parma were declared bankrupt with debts of more than 200 million euros (??144million).
Also on Thursday, former Parma owner Giampietro Manenti and ex-sporting director Pietro Leonardi were each handed six-month bans from football.
Parma’s players have still not been paid all season, but the team managed to beat Serie A leaders Juventus 1-0 on Saturday.
