Gerard Deulofeu's agent has admitted it is highly unlikely that his client will play for Milan again next season, after a successful loan last term.
The Spain U21 international is owned by Premier League side Everton, who bought the winger from Barcelona in July 2015, but he is set to return to the Catalans in the off-season via a buyback clause included in the original transfer agreement between the clubs.
Deulofeu went on loan to the Rossoneri from Everton in January this year and subsequently made 17 Serie A appearances for the club, scoring four goals and assisting in a further three, but will most likely not be able to return to the Italian side.
“The player’s feeling very good at the moment, no doubt. He is very happy and he’s now focusing on the European Under-21 Championship,” agent Gines Carvajal told Tuttomercatoweb.
“News on his future? I can’t say, it’s not up to me. Everton and Barcelona are the two clubs that will decide on lad’s future.
“A prediction? I honestly don’t know, we just have to wait. Not returning to Milan? I’d say so, it’s very difficult.”
