Cristiano Ronaldo creates history in winning silverware after Serie A victory with Juventus

Juventus defeated Fiorentina to pick up their 8th consecutive Scudetto, making Cristiano Ronaldo the first player ever to win the Premier League, La Liga and the Serie A.

A goal from Alex Sandro and a German Pezzella own goal was enough to give Juventus the three points they needed to wrap up their eighth consecutive Serie A title and their 35th overall.

The victory also meant that star attacker Cristiano Ronaldo became the first player ever to win league titles in England, Spain and Italy, after 3 Premier League victories with Manchester United and 2 La Liga triumphs with Real Madrid.

Ronaldo and squad all sorry for exit – Allegri

It was also the 30th major silverware that the Portuguese phenomenon has captured so far in his illlustrious career.

Ronaldo has enjoyed a quietly pivotal season for Juventus so far, popping up with important goals while not being at his belligerent goalscoring best. He has scored 26 goals and set up 13 more in 39 appearances.

However, the obvious sore point of the season was Juventus’ Champions League quarterfinal exit to Ajax earlier this week, where they were beaten 3-2 on aggregate despite the Portuguese phenomenon scoring in both legs.

The early exit raised doubt regarding his future at the club, but he has since moved to silence those rumours and commit his immediate future to the club.
