Manchester City v Newcastle United – Saturday
The pressure will be on Manchester City as this is a late kick-off with Chelsea looking very likely to beat Burnley earlier in the day. City will have no option but to respond. City should beat Newcastle even though they have done well recently, but being an away game against a team that must win sees them the big underdogs.
PREDICTION: Man City 2-0 Newcastle
Tottenham Hotspur v West Ham United – Sunday
The Europa League generally would affect a team but for Tottenham it won’t stop them beating the Hammers. Spurs have looked a good side for some time and are up against a West Ham side that are really struggling, recently getting thumped 4-0 by West Brom in the FA Cup and Tottenham will make it another bad day for the Hammers.
PREDICTION: Tottenham 3-1 West Ham
Everton v Leicester City – Sunday
Leicester have been unlucky as in many of their games that they have lost or drawn they have looked the better side. Everton are back in Europe and with their latest form recently they look far more likely to draw games than win them. This match will more than likely be a draw.
PREDICTION: Everton 1-1 Leicester
Southampton v Liverpool – Sunday
The problem for Southampton ahead of this fixture is that they have got a few injuries and Liverpool have looked in very good form for some time. There will be huge motivation for The Reds to win as it would blow the race for the top four wide open. The goals have dried up for Southampton and they have picked up injuries to key players. Liverpool are flying and will win this one.
PREDICTION: Southampton 0-1 Liverpool
Chelsea v Burnley – Saturday
Chelsea will beat Burnley at home to keep the well in control of the League title race. I don’t see a problem for Jose Mourinho’s men against Burnley. Chelsea were solid against PSG in their 1-1 Champions League draw mid-week and at Stamford Bridge are a tough team to beat.
PREDICTION: Chelsea 3-0 Burnley
Crystal Palace v Arsenal – Saturday
Arsenal will be too strong for Palace, they just have too much in all departments for the home side. Palace weren’t great in the draw against Newcastle and Arsenal are in decent form. It’s going to be an easy afternoon’s work for Arsene Wenger and his men.
PREDICTION: Palace 0-2 Arsenal
Swansea City v Manchester United – Saturday
This could be a tight game as United have just been doing enough to get points but have not really looked like the great title winning side of old. United could struggle with Gylfi Sigurdsson back for Swansea. He makes them tick and this could very well end up a draw.
PREDICTION: Swansea 1-1 Man Utd
Aston Villa v Stoke City – Saturday
Villa should beat Stoke. This will be Tim Sherwood’s first game in charge and he will get his side going especially with the game happening at Villa Park. Villa will win a close one.
PREDICTION: Villa 1-0 Stoke
Hull City v QPR – Saturday
This is a massive game which neither side can afford to lose. It’s a really tight game at the bottom of the league and this will be a very cautious game. QPR will not win at Hull and a draw is on the cards here.
PREDICTION: Hull 2-2 QPR
Sunderland v West Brom – Saturday
This is another game where both sides will be desperate to avoid defeat. Sunderland will be disappointed with their defeat to QPR recently and will be tough to beat at home. West Brom have in good form so this match is a difficult call, West Brom will sneak this.
PREDICTION: Sunderland 1-2 West Brom
