Harry Kane will be out for up to a month after damaging ankle ligaments, Tottenham said on Wednesday.
Spurs made the announcement that Kane would be back in training sometime in April after several newspapers suggested that his place in England’s World Cup squad could be in jeopardy.
Kane, who injured his right ankle during a collision on Saturday with Bournemouth keeper Asmir Begovic, wrote on Twitter: “Disappointing to be out until next month but injuries are part of the game. Will do everything I can to get back out there asap.”

Kane missed several weeks of last season with two separate injuries to the same ankle.
The striker now looks set to miss most of Spurs’ remaining fixtures this season.
Spurs face Swansea in the FA Cup quarter-finals on Saturday.
