Harry Kane lauded after ‘pass of the season’

Harry Kane showed there is more to his game than just goals on Saturday with a stunning assist in Tottenham’s 2-0 win over Huddersfield at Wembley.

The England striker has rightly been lauded for his goal-scoring record in recent years as he closes in on a third-straight Premier League golden boot award, but the focus on his goals often overlooks the other attributes to his game.

Kane is strong, good with his back to the goal, a willing runner, and most importantly, able to pick a pass – a skill he showed to devastating effect on Saturday when he set up Son Heung-min for Spurs’ killer second goal.

Picking up the ball near the halfway line on the right side of the pitch, Kane advanced down the line while looking up and seeing the unmarked Son running into the box.

He then curled a perfect ball into the box for Son to head home his second goal of the match. Game over!

The pass and his all-round performance left fans raving.
