Pochettino, Spurs fans rave over ‘Gazza’ 2.0

Third choice keeper Paulo Gazzaniga was the unlikely hero for Spurs on Sunday as they earned a narrow win over Crystal Palace at Wembley.

News that the Argentine, signed from Southampton in the summer, would play in the absence of Hugo Lloris and Michel Vorm was greeted with trepidation by Spurs fans as Gazzaniga came with a reputation for making mistakes during his time with the Saints and while on loan at Rayo Vallecano.

He also hadn’t played in the Premier League for quite a while.

But Gazza ignored all the doubters to put in a man-of-the-match display as Tottenham squeezed past Palace 1-0 thanks to Son Heung-min’s 64th-minute curler.

Manager Mauricio Pochettino was obviously happy with his compatriot’s debut.

Fans were also impressed.

Mauricio Pochettino really is a great coach, it seems!
