Chelsea boss Antonio Conte says the club will not be contesting David Luiz’s red card against Arsenal as he has accepted the referee’s decision.
Luiz was shown a straight red card for a studs-up challenge on Sead Kolasinac in the 87th minute of the goalless draw at Stamford Bridge on Sunday, having also been booked earlier in the second half.
Conte appeared to disagree with the sending-off when asked about the incident in his post-match interview, claiming that the Brazil international had been pushed by Alexis Sanchez just prior to going in on Kolasinac.

However, the Italian confirmed there will be no appeal forthcoming from the Blues, who must do without the 30-year-old centre-back for their EFL Cup clash with Nottingham Forest on Wednesday.
Asked in his pre-match press conference if they would be making a case to the Football Association, Conte replied: “No, I think the situation was very clear.
“It was a fall before the tackle but now it’s important to move on and to look at the next game.”
