Liverpool goalkeeper Danny Ward is champing at the bit to make his first appearance for the club since going out on loan last year.
The Wales international was sent on loan to Huddersfield Town last season and helped the Terriers win promotion to the Premier League via the Championship play-offs.
The 24-year-old returned to Anfield in the off-season and is now set to make his first start for the Reds in 16 months when Jurgen Klopp's men take on Leicester City in the EFL Cup on Tuesday.
“I’m good to go,” Ward told the club's official website.
“I had a little knock in pre-season, trouble with my back, which held me back for 10 days or so. But since then I’ve been training absolutely fine, I played the game in pre-season and I’ve been working hard on the training pitch to wait and see if I get a chance.
“I’ve not played a competitive game since [the play-off final at] Wembley, so I’m excited. And I’m excited to pull on the Liverpool shirt again after such a long time.”
