Chelsea cannot claim to be brimming with striking options after the end of the transfer window.
Although Antonio Conte splashed out £58million to bring in Alvaro Morata from Real Madrid, there looks little likelihood of Diego Costa being handed an olive branch.
Transfer target Fernando Llorente even chose Spurs over Chelsea on deadline day.
But if Conte faces a striker crisis at any stage this season, could a solution present itself in the unlikely guise of goalkeeper Thibaut Courtois?

The Belgian stopper posted a video on social media demonstrating his finishing credentials on the training ground.
On the video, Courtois connects perfectly with his volley to a right wing cross and the ball crashes in off the underside of the bar, past helpless third choice stopper Eduardo.

Courtois celebrates by sliding to his knees, as his team-mates and Chelsea’s coaching staff look on bemused.
Conte may have to check out the footage himself if he’s looking for a Plan B.
