Jose Izquierdo becomes Brighton & Hove Albion’s third record signing after joining the ambitious Premier League side from Club Brugge.
A Colombian international left-winger, Izquierdo arrives at the club for a reported £13.5m.
The Seagulls had previously completed the signings of Mathew Ryan for £5m from Valencia and Davy Propper for £10m from PSV.
The 25-year-old Izquierdo scored 15 goals in the Belgian Pro League last season with Brighton manager Chris Hughton calling his new acquisition “one of the standout players” in Belgium in the past three years.

He added: “Jose has good experience with almost 250 senior games in both Colombia and Belgium, and has played in the Europa League, Champions League and international football.”
Izquierdo was named the Belgium’s Player of the Year in the 2015/16 season after helping his side to the Belgian League title.
A statement from Brighton read: “Brighton & Hove Albion today confirmed that The FA has granted a work permit (Governing Body Endorsement) for Jose Izquierdo.
“The club will now proceed to register the player subject to international clearance.”
