There is no denying that the 2015/16 Premier League campaign will go down as one of great disappointment for Arsenal. The title was theirs for the taking and, not for the first time, they let it slip.
The failure to win the league is made more painful by the fact that it is not a big-spending rival that pipped them to the post, but rather the fairytale of Leicester City. It appeared things were only going to get worse for Gunners fans when Tottenham first challenged the Foxes for the silverware and then looked set to finish above their north London rivals.
However, on Sunday it all went horribly wrong for Spurs. A 5-1 hammering at the hands of relegated Newcastle, coupled with Arsenal’s win over Aston Villa means that Arsenal move above Mauricio Pochettino’s side and finish the season in second. It’s not a trophy, but it is something for the fans to celebrate, and legions of Gunners fans took to social media to celebrate ‘St Totteringham Day’, the day on which it is confirmed that Arsenal will finish above Spurs.

#StTotteringhamDay is better than Christmas for Gunners and comes round just as often!

We could go on, but let’s rather turn our attention to former Arsenal number one Wojciech Szczesny. The Pole spent the season on loan at Roma, but that doesn’t seem to have dampened his love of Arsenal…

He even broke out in song for Spurs fans…
