English football star set for shock move to WWE after conversation with The Rock

In some rather shocking news coming in today, it appears as if the WWE have found a new superstar and he could be a current football player!

Wycombe Wanderers star Adebayo Akinfenwa is well known to followers of the English Football League, and his appearances on daily football shows have earned him a bit of a reputation.

Now, the 36-year-old has shockingly revealed that he is in talks with WWE for a possible move to the company as his playing career comes to a close.

“We have had conversations. I’m into WWE because my kids are. I got the chance to meet The Rock and we had a little conversation,” Akinfenwa told The Football Social.

The striker is widely considered to be the strongest man in all of football and regularly uses the “Beast mode” reference presumably taken from WWE superstar Brock Lesnar.

It’ll be a huge deal if Akinfenwa finds himself in the WWE considering the history of the company to transcend sports entertainment and find superstars from different sporting arenas.

Rest assured, football and wrestling fans will be keeping a close eye on this story as it develops.
