Back-to-back wins have take the Catalan club to the top of the table, one point ahead of Real Madrid, but can pull further clear with a win over the closest rivals next week at the Nou Camp.
Despite the upcoming El Classico clash and the Champions League last 16 second leg tie with Manchester City looming on the horizon, Enrique wants his players to keep their minds on the job at hand in La Liga.
“For me there’s only one game, and that’s the Eibar game,” he told his pre-match press conference.
“Eibar are dangerous, both because of where we’re playing them and their need for points.
“Despite their recent defeats, they’re having a good season. They already showed us how tough they are at Camp Nou. Surely, it won’t be easy.
“They’re hard workers and they’ll make things tough for us.
“We live in the now. We have to win no matter what to stay in first place.
“Our mistakes have shown is that nothing is easy. In the games we didn’t win it was because our opponents were good and we weren’t.”
Enrique will be forced to rotate his squad for the trip to Ipurua, with Sergio Busquets injured and Jordi Alba and Dani Alves sitting out with suspensions.
Javier Mascherano or Ivan Rakitic are likely to come in for Busquets in the holding midfield role, with Martin Montoya and Adriano covering for Alves and Alba respectively.
And Rakitic echoed his manager???s sentiments, claiming it would be a huge mistake to underestimate Eibar
The Croatian midfielder told Barcelona’s official website: “We respect Eibar and we will prepare it as well as we can.
“We know it will be a tough game, they are a good team and played well against us at the Camp Nou, so we know what to expect.
“We’ll come out to play as we always do – we want to put in a complete game as we know that Ipurua is a hard place to win at,??? he added.
“There are three points in play on Saturday, just like there are when we face Madrid. We want to win all the games – against Eibar, Manchester City and Madrid.”
