Deportivo Alavés have dismissed manager Gianni De Biasi after just two months at the helm of the struggling La Liga side.
The 61-year-old former Levante, Torino, Udinese and Albania coach had taken over from Luis Zubeldia after his poor start to the season but was not able to improve upon results.
And after 13 matches, the club find themselves bottom of the league standings, with just two wins and 11 losses from their 13 games played.
Javier Cabello replaces De Biasi on a temporary basis, a role that he took up when Zubeldia was fired.
A statement from Alavés read: "[Alavés] has decided to terminate the contract of Gianni De Biasi after the last results obtained in La Liga.

Up next for Deportivo Alavés is a Copa del Rey home fixture with Getafe ahead of facing Las Palmas in the league on Friday.
