Valencia boss Marcelino Garcia Toral expressed his pride at his players for their comprehensive 5-0 defeat of Malaga on Tuesday.
Santi Mina kicked off proceedings at the Estadio de Mestalla on 17 minutes ahead of a quick-fire second-half hat-trick from Simone Zaza with his goals arriving on 55, 60 and 63 minutes.
Rodrigo rounded off the scoring with four minutes of the match remaining.
After the match, a proud Marcelino told the club's official website: "We’re really pleased, and I’m tremendously proud of the players’ attitude, how they‘re playing as a team, the ambition they’re showing; we’re really happy and pleased to enjoy it alongside our fans.
"Today, we had the cutting edge, luck and performance to put five past them. This doesn’t mean we‘re going to score five goals every week."
He added: "We still got a lot of work to do. I think the fact that we got the win with nine points in the table, our five-game unbeaten run, and the credit that these players deserve; having already played against Real Madrid and Atletico Madrid, I think it’s worth mentioning, and I don’t mean anything other than we must keep the same humbleness knowing that if we want to be a great team, we’ve got to keep showing it."
