Liverpool have published a statement to make it clear that they will not be selling Philippe Coutinho to Barcelona.
The Brazilian has been heavily linked with Barca, who have boots to fill and millions to spend after selling Neymar, but the Reds are seemingly unwilling to sell at any price.
“We wish to offer clarity as regards our position on a possible transfer of Philippe Coutinho,” read a statement from Fenway Sports Group on the club’s official website.
“The club’s definitive stance is that no offers for Philippe will be considered and he will remain a member of Liverpool Football Club when the summer window closes.”
The Reds are preparing for Saturday’s Premier League opener against Watford at Vicarage Road.
