Sevilla are closing in on the signing of Joaquin Correa after announcing they have reached an agreement with Sampdoria for his transfer.
The 21-year-old attacking midfielder has attracted interest from the Europa League champions after scoring three goals in 25 Serie A appearances for Samp last term.
Correa only arrived at Stadio Luigi Ferraris in January 2015 from Estudiantes back in his homeland, but is set to move on again after only 18 months to begin a new chapter in his career with Los Rojiblancos.
The Andalusians, who will be managed by Jorge Sampaoli next season, revealed that the Argentine youngster has agreed a five-year deal and will join the La Liga outfit upon completing his medical on Monday.
"Sevilla FC and UC Sampdoria have reached an agreement, in the absence of documents and a mandatory medical examination, for the signing of Joaquin Correa, who will sign a contract for the next five seasons," read a statement from the Spanish club.
