Ajax centre-back Davinson Sanchez says he is committed to Ajax but admits it "is a huge compliment" to be linked with Barcelona.
The 20-year-old Colombian defender, who rose up through the club's youth ranks after signing from Atletico Nacional, played 32 times this season as the club narrowly missed out on the Eredivisie title on the final day to Feyenoord.
The single-capped international has since been linked with a move to Catalonia, after reportedly rejecting a chance to represent the club's B side last season, and insists while he would relish the chance to play for Barca, he is focused on Ajax.
Speaking to Radio Barcelona, Sanchez said: "Obviously I would like to play for Barcelona.
“It is a huge compliment [to be linked with them]. Who doesn’t want to play for a club as big as Barca? Everyone wants to be part of a team like that, they’re one of the world’s elite.
“I want to be clear that right now I am completely focused on Ajax.”
